The more mature school children will be ready to research and probe. They like obtaining a puzzle and thinking through it.

Any after school program needs to address the interests of the child depending on the category he belongs to. Knowing the children in the program and appreciating their requirements and interests will assist staff members to prepare and design programs that are most useful to that particular group.
